Image Compressor
Make JPG, PNG and WebP images smaller before you put them on a website, in an email or in an ad. Set a quality level, optionally convert to WebP or cap the dimensions, and compress up to 20 images at once. It all runs in your browser, and you never get back a file that's bigger than the one you put in.

How to use it
- Drop up to 20 JPG, PNG or WebP images (25 MB each), or choose them from your device.
- Set the quality. For photos, around 70–85 usually looks the same as the original while saving a lot of space.
- Optionally pick an output format, and a maximum width or height to scale large images down.
- Check each image's new size, saving and preview, and the total saved.
- Download images one at a time, or all together as a ZIP.
How compression works
- Your browser decodes each image and saves it again at the quality you choose. Lower quality drops detail the eye is less likely to notice, which makes the file smaller.
- With a maximum width or height, larger images are scaled down to fit and keep their proportions. Images are never enlarged.
- If the new file isn't smaller than the original, the original is kept unchanged and marked “Already optimised — original kept”. No saving is claimed for it.
- % saved = (original size − new size) ÷ original size × 100. The total adds up every file you'd download.
- Browsers can only save PNG losslessly, so PNG files often don't get smaller. WebP usually gives the biggest savings for photos.
- Saving the image again removes its EXIF metadata, including camera details and GPS location.
