ROI Calculator
Work out return on investment two ways: a simple ROI from what you invested and what came back, or a marketing ROI that uses your gross margin and every marketing cost to show the real profit, the ROI and the revenue needed to break even. Add the length of the period to see an annualised figure, clearly marked as an extrapolation.

How to use it
- Choose Simple ROI for any investment, or Marketing ROI for a campaign.
- Simple: enter the total investment and the total return (everything that came back, not the profit).
- Marketing: enter ad spend, any other marketing costs, the revenue the marketing produced and your gross margin.
- Optionally enter the period in days to see an annualised ROI.
- Read the results and the explanation, then copy them or export a CSV.
Formulas
- Simple ROI (%) = (Total return − Total investment) ÷ Total investment × 100
- Net profit = Total return − Total investment; Return multiple = Total return ÷ Total investment
- Gross profit = Revenue × Gross margin; Marketing cost = Ad spend + Other marketing costs
- Marketing ROI (%) = (Gross profit − Marketing cost) ÷ Marketing cost × 100
- Break-even revenue = Marketing cost ÷ Gross margin
- Annualised ROI (%) = ((1 + ROI) ^ (365 ÷ days) − 1) × 100, shown only when the period is at least 1 day
